    This issue heralds the beginning of sixth year of our magazine. Incidentally, in some schools of numerology number ‘6’ stands for - VISION and ACCEPTANCE. Let us therefore prayerfully remember that we, Gayatri Pariwar Parijans, are the inheritors of a glorious VISION for humanity and Mother Earth, bequeathed to us by our Gurusatta – of advent of a New Era of peace, harmony and an intuitive feeling of interconnectedness of all the children of Mother Earth. Our Gurusatta did a life-long sadhana towards laying firm foundations for visible actualization of this Vision and is now working with manifold energy to realize the aim with his body of Light from subtle-causal realms. We are his humble instruments. In order to prove our worthiness, we should surrender our petty egoistic drives and ACCEPT to be humble, purified and non-resistant channels of the transforming and redeeming divine energy.

Only three years from now, beginning with Basant Parva 2011 (8th Feb), the Gayatri Pariwar will be organizing year-long celebrations of Gurudev’s Centenary. Basant Parva is the most auspicious festival for us, as it was on this day in 1926 that Gurudev was initiated on the path of integral spiritual awakening by his own Gurusatta, seer-sage Swami Sarveshwaranandji. Gurudev considered this day as his real birthday. We have outlined in these columns the plans to be completed before the centenary year – over the next three years – so that the dawn of the New Era is distinctly visible by that time. The apparent obstacles are daunting, but with faith, hope, resolve and single-pointed effort – and above all through Divine Grace – we will overcome all the obstacles; and there will be the momentous breakthrough and transition from the tunnel of darkness into the vastness and bliss of effulgent light. Our Acceptance of the truth of our Gurusatta’s Vision must be total and unreserved and our commitment uncompromising.

We are starting a new series of articles with this issue under the heading ‘Women’s Column’. Gurudev has called the twenty first century as the century of women’s awakening and empowerment and has affirmed that women will contribute even more than men towards fulfillment of his Vision. Gayatri Pariwar (and its Yug Nirman Yojana) has been working from grassroots level to make women equal partners in the era-transformation campaign.

The issue also carries a well-researched article on the mind-boggling and awesome discoveries and inventions in the field of physical sciences made by our ancestors – far more sophisticated than the latest inventions of modern science. We look forward to publish more such articles.

We are passing through very grim and grave times of turmoil, tribulations, strife, environmental crisis and what not? But let us not lose hope in the ultimate triumph of Truth and stand firm in our faith in Gurudev’s VISION of descent of Heaven on Earth. Let us sincerely and ardently pray for peace, love, understanding, kindness and compassion to take roots in human hearts during the New Year. Our world is in dire need of genuine and lasting Peace. Let Love prevail and heal mortally wounded human hearts.

Our New Year resolution could be –

To live one day at a time, with awareness of Divine Presence on our hearts,and meet with a Serene mind whatever we have to meet Unitedly in a common bond of cooperation and goodwill.
